“Adobe late Friday warned that attackers are exploiting a critical
vulnerability in the company’s most widely-used software: Flash Player and
Adobe Reader,” Gregg Keizer reports for Computerworld.
…
“Adobe said that the bug affects Flash Player 10.0.45.2, the most
up-to-date version of the popular media player, as well as older editions
on Windows, Macintosh, Linux and Solaris,” Keizer reports. “Also
vulnerable: PDF viewer Adobe Reader 9.x and PDF creation software Adobe
Acrobat 9.x on Windows, Macintosh and Unix.”

I have NOT heard of any exploits actually happening on a Mac. Just
theoretical.
As always, try to stay current on maintenance for all of your software,
not just from Apple.
If you are using Apple’s Preview to view PDF’s instead of Acrobat Reader,
you are also completely safe.
Personally, I have started using ClickToFlash <http://clicktoflash.com/>
to block flash content. Partially as a protest against Adobe, partially to
get an idea how much stuff will not be visible on my iPhone or iPad.
I use FlashBlock <https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/433/> on
Firefox to accomplish the same thing.
Both of these “Flash blockers” can make the page load faster because you
don’t have to load the flash content. I find it more interesting how much
Flash is out there. If you do want to see something that is in Flash,
simply click on the link and it will load the Flash content.
